Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and the internship period.

Duties may include:

• Assisting in the execution of the substantive work of the unit of innovation and new technologies

Qualifications

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:

(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Likewise, be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).

For this internship, studies in the area of political economy and international relations are desirable.

Work Experience

Applicants need not have professional work experience for participation in the programme.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
