Are you eager to enhance your research skills through an international internship? The HKU CDS Research Internship Program 2025 is an excellent opportunity for you! Offered by the University of Hong Kong, this prestigious internship welcomes applications from students around the globe. Organized by the HKU School of Computing and Data Science, the program is specifically designed for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.

This research internship provides students with firsthand experience in academic research while also offering insight into HKU’s postgraduate programs. Participants will be paired with a faculty mentor and assigned to a research project aligned with their interests. At the end of the 7-week internship, which runs from 13 July to 31 August 2025, interns will present their research findings.

The HKU CDS Research Internship is a paid opportunity, with selected interns receiving a stipend of HK$22,274 to help cover living costs, travel, or other expenses. Around 50 outstanding students from both mainland China and other countries will be selected to participate. Eligibility Criteria for HKU CDS Research Internship Program 2025:

• The HKU Summer Internship 2025 is open to students from all over the world.
• Current 2nd or 3rd-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply for this Hong Kong research internship.
• Students must be studying Computer Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or any related field.
• Interns will be required to get a “training visa” through the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
• A supporting letter will also be required from the applicant’s home institution, which states that the institution supports the training at HKU and should also confirm that the intern will return to their studies upon completion of the internship.
