Paid Internship in Paris by ICC Dispute Resolution Service has open the application for Arbitration Interns for our Arbitration Case Management Teams. The internship is for a non-flexible period of 3 months starting on 3 January 2019. The Intern will be under the supervision of a Counsel of one of the arbitration case management teams in Paris.

The Arbitration Traineeship is for a non-flexible period of 6 months starting 3 January 2019.The Trainee will be under the supervision of a Counsel of one of the arbitration case management teams in Paris.

Tasks entrusted to the Interns and the Trainees include:

  • Read and draft documents related to arbitration cases in English (French and Spanish are required for specific teams)
  • draft in English (French and Spanish are required for specific teams)
  • legal research and read legal documents in English and one of the languages listed below
  • preparation of conferences
  • translation of legal documents
  • ad hoc assignments as requested by the teams and the services of the Secretariat to which the intern may be assigned

Preference will be given to students in international commercial law arbitration with strong academic credentials and prior work experience. Fluent in English is a requirement. Being fluent in one of the following languages is an advantage: Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish or any Eastern European language.

Benefits

  • The Intern will receive a monthly gratification of about EUR 500 + meal vouchers + partial compensation of public transport costs;
  • Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland should get an appropriate visa from the French consulate.

Eligibility

  • The candidate needs to still be registered as a student at the time of the internship. Recent graduates who are not anymore enrolled in an educational program are therefore not eligible to do an Internship at ICC;
  • Fluent in English is a requirement. Being fluent in one of the following languages is an advantage: Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish or any Eastern European language;
