Application calls for Trade Policy Internship at Corn Refiners Association in the United States of America. The graduate intern will assist the CRA with trade policy research, legislative analysis, and market evaluation.

Moreover, the successful applicants will be bright, highly motivated scholars with a strong interest and aptitude for international trade policy. The Internship Program at Corn Refiners Association is a paid position as a candidate will receive a wage of $20 per hour. Candidates can also receive credit in addition to or in lieu of wages. The program will begin in the Spring session (January – May) – for a minimum of 25-30 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assisting in the implementation of CRA’s trade policy agenda.
  • Tracking key pieces of legislation as well as regulatory proposals in the U.S. and key global markets.
  • Building relationships with the staff of CRA’s strategic partners.
  • Also, attending hearings and meetings on behalf of CRA and deliver an analysis of critical issues discussed.
  • Making outreach to the CRA Trade and Government Relations Committees, which are comprised of DC and home-office based representatives of all CRA member companies.
  • Furthermore, assisting the policy staff with various initiatives and special projects.

Requirements 

  • Qualified candidates should have or be working towards a graduate degree in a field of study directly relevant to international trade.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and also a genuine interest in policy development.
  • Furthermore, Spanish speaking, reading, and writing capabilities (preferred).
