The GRO is now looking for a FIT Project Clerk that supports the planning and implementation of these BMZ funded projects.

Duties and Responsibilities of FIT Project 

  • Support Project Management: Support the organization of project activities e.g. seminars, workshops, events (incl. conceptual planning, invitation management, correspondence with multiple partners, on-site tasks, light administrative support, in collaboration with Admin/Finance Assistant).
  • Support project budgeting and expenditure and financial planning of activities.
  • Support drafting of regular donor reports.

Assist in Research and Data Analysis:

  • Assist in analyzing and managing donor data to enhance strategic decision-making and partnership development.
  • Support research on political developments, funding trends, and sustainable development initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing briefing notes, official mission logistics, and high-level meetings, etc.

Support in Communication.

  • Support communication of project results through social media and other communication channels.
  • Conduct online research and collect background information to support activity and mission planning.

Support in building partnerships:

  • Support the Fit Manager in nurturing the existing partnerships
  • Support the identification of potential new partners by scanning German partnership landscape.

Support knowledge building and knowledge sharing relevant to the assigned project.

Required Skills

The candidate should have experience in supporting activity planning and implementation, as well as conducting research and data analysis. They should be skilled in planning and organizing events, workshops, or conferences. Experience working in a multicultural environment—preferably within an international development organizationis essential. Solid computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), is also required and should be demonstrated through prior work experience.

Desired Skills

In addition to the core competencies, previous experience or knowledge of working with UNDP is considered an asset. Experience with social media and other communication channels is also desired.

Required Language(s):  Fluency in English and German (oral and written) is required.
