UNDP Paid Internship National Assistant – Arabic Editor 2024 in Saudi Arabia
Duties and Responsibilities
The Arabic Language Editor shall carry the overall responsibility of supporting the UNDP project management in MEWA to edit all Arabic documents for linguistic corrections.
The key areas of work and responsibilities under this TOR include:
- Editing Arabic letters for the UNDP project and MEWA.
- Editing technical and non-technical reports.
- Providing assistance to translators in reviewing translated reports for linguistic corrections.
- Editing publications for conferences and workshops, and other meetings.
- Providing support on any aspects requested by the Project Management Team.

Institutional Arrangement for Internship National Assistant
- The Editor shall report to the UNDP CTA and DRR and should regularly (as decided by UNDP project management) provide him with written reports on his/her work progress.

Required Skills and Experience of Internship National Assistant
- Min. Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language
- Min. years of relevant work experience: 5 years of work as an Arabic language Editor
- Required skills:
- Solid experience in Arabic Language.
- Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies.
- Identify priority activities and assignments and adjusts as required.
- Allocates appropriate amount of time and resources for completing work.
- Good advocacy and communications skills and demonstrated report-writing skills
- Desired skill: Leading by Example
- Required Language(s) : Arabic and an Acceptable level of English
