The United Nations Society Nuremberg call for BayernMUN 2021 (Bayern Model United Nations). BayernMUN 2021 will take place from February 26th to 28th 2021 in Eppelein-Saal” of Youth Hostel Nuremberg. The hall is located at the Youth Hostel Nuremberg, Burg 2, 90403 Nuremberg, right next to the Nuremberg castle.

The United Nations Society Nuremberg e.V. is the host of BayernMUN and was founded in 2012 to spread the spirit of mutual international understanding and to spread as well knowledge and interest in the work of the United Nations. Moreover, BayernMUN sees the main task in providing a deeper knowledge in the fields of political education, negotiation techniques, public speaking skills, intercultural competencies, leadership, team building, time management, self-confidence, and confident appearance.

• Negotiation tactics: Enhance your negotiation tactics and presentation skills
• Committee partner: Practice negotiating together with a committee partner
• Exciting atmosphere: Experience the exciting atmosphere in the committee

Awards

BayernMUN issues a total amount of eleven awards in three different categories:

• The Chair Awards will be distributed by the Dais. Areas of evaluation are remaining “in character”, Participating in committee and Proper use of the Rules of Procedure.
• The Peer-Awards are distributed by the committee. During the last day, each present delegation may vote for the delegations, they consider most successful.
• The Position Papers will be read by a special committee, which will choose the best written and researched papers. To participate for this award you will have to hand in your Position Paper on time.

Age and Criteria

• BayernMUN is open for university students as well as for school students.
• Participation without supervision is only possible for delegates who are older than 16 years at the time of the conference.
• Students younger than 16 years will have to be supervised by a teacher or any other adult. Please contact the secretariat in this case.
• Furthermore, participation in social activities in the evenings might be restricted for delegates under 18 years.
