Berkeley Model United Nations is a student run organization on the UC Berkeley campus dedicated to continuing its six decades of excellence as the world’s premier — and very first — United Nations simulation. Every March, over 1,900 high school students from all over the world come to Berkeley to participate in Berkeley Model United Nations. Entering its 67th session, BMUN’s mission is to spread awareness of international issues and the spirit of diplomacy through UN simulations. Moreover, they also aim to create an educational experience for high school students, to help them realize their potential in areas such as public speaking and policy debate. They do this by serving as head chairs on a diverse group of committees in which we help to facilitate delegate education through substantive diplomatic debate.
This year, Berkeley Model United Nations will be continuing its static fee of $55 for both school deposit fee and delegate registration fees. This means that a team must first submit an initial, non-refundable fee of $55 and then $55 for every delegate that registers. So, for example, if School A registers a team of 10 delegates, then their total cost will come out to $605, $55 for the initial team fee and $550 for the 10 delegates ($55 x 10 = $550)
