Details

Oakland University Model United Nations (OUMUN) Club and the Oakland University Department of Political Science are delighted to host the Fourth Annual Oakland University High School Model United Nations Conference March 1st-2nd 2019. The conference will be held on OU’s campus in Auburn Hills.

Moreover, Oakland University Model United Nations Club was founded in 2008. It is open to all OU students.

This conference builds upon the success of their past three conferences. In addition, it will provide an enjoyable, high-quality learning experience, featuring several simulated General Assembly (GA) committees as well as UN Specialized Agencies, GA committees will have a maximum of 55 delegates – enough to generate intense debate but small enough that all delegates will have ample opportunity to speak and participate. They will also offer a Security Council and a historical re-enactment of negotiations for the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I.

Furthermore, delegates will also have the chance to tour campus and meet with faculty and OU students. Also, they will provide dinner and lunch to delegates on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, and also, close the conference late Saturday afternoon.
