Southern California Model United Nations (SCMUN) seeks to provide an educational experience for delegates rooted in diplomacy, research, and public speaking.

Moreover, MUNSC is the University of Southern California’s Model United Nations club that is dedicated to preparing USC delegations for participation in Model UN conferences around the country. MUNSC members help put on SCMUN every year, as well as TrojanMUN, our collegiate conference. However, it is more than just a club focused on competition, as it is a community perfect for anyone with an interest in international relations, diplomacy, and debating current world issues.

Description

SCMUN 2019 prides itself on its unique committee offerings that provide every type of delegate with a committee that suits their interests. Theycater to delegates of all experience levels, and delegates will have the ability to choose from large General Assemblies, mid-sized Economic and Social Councils, and intimate crisis committees. The committees of SCMUN 2019 will range from the Renaissance to modern-day Hollywood, and ensure that every delegate will have an educational experience while harnessing the spirit of Model United Nations.

Furthermore, their chairs and crisis staff are working tirelessly to provide background guides, plan crisis arcs, and develop delegate materials that demonstrate the excellence they seek at SCMUN. Moreover, SCMUN prides itself on the hands-on nature of chairs, ensuring that every delegate regardless of experiences is able to grow during their weekend with them. From background guides to closing ceremonies, SCMUN will ensure that delegates gain knowledge, skill, as well as grow their passion for debate.

Venue

SCMUN will be held on the beautiful University of Southern California campus from March 30, 2019 to March 31, 2019. Please note that middle school committees will take place only on Sunday, March 31, following the same posted schedule below. Be advised that the schedule is subject to change.
