Details

The SEASAT Youth Camp’s goal is to enrich young people, ages 18 to 24, in their familiarity with their Southeast Asian, South Asian, and also, Taiwan neighbors with the participation of select American youth counterparts. In collaboration with the American Institute in Taiwan, the 4-day camp will expose participants to contemporary issues affecting the region, cultural and educational tours, seminars, as well as a crash course on basic leadership. The Camp also doubles as a networking platform to further connect the SEASAT Youth.

Moreover,  According to Wikipedia Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation was established in Taiwan. Further,  through the support of government, civil society and the private sector, the TAEF was given the mandate to help advance the people-centered agenda of Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy, to act as the main organizing and administrative body of the Yushan Forum and serve as an exchange platform for leaders, youth representatives, NGOs and think tanks in the region. Further, The TAEF works closely with counterparts from 18 NSP countries. Additionally, the 10 ASEAN countries, 6 countries in South Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Further, through its five core programs: Taiwan-Asian Young Leader Engagement (TAYLE), Think Tank Collaboration, Cultural Exchange, Civil Society Connectivity and Regional Resilience.

  • 18 to 24 years old
  • Interest in contemporary Indo-Pacific issues, also, youth leadership
  • Citizen of Southeast Asia, South Asia or Taiwan
  • Holds a passport/Means to travel to Taipei, Taiwan
