Agora Policy invites early to midcareer staff members of Nigerian civil society and media organisations, think tanks and the government to apply for its inaugural Policy Writing Fellowship. The fellowship is designed to develop and deepen the capacity of the competitively-selected participants to conceive, research and write compelling and impactful policy papers.
The Policy Support, Deepening, and Engagement (PSDE) project, led by Agora Policy and supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, is designed to enhance data-driven, participatory policymaking and governance. This innovative three-month, non-residential fellowship offers participants the opportunity to deepen their research and writing skills through intensive workshops and hands-on supervision. The program’s culmination sees fellows developing individual writing projects, which will be eligible for research grants, contributing meaningful insights to policy discourse. By nurturing informed, evidence-based approaches, the PSDE project aims to empower a new generation of policy thinkers committed to impactful governance.
Agora Policy is a Nigerian think tank and non-profit committed to finding practical solutions to urgent national challenges. They are decidedly evidence-led and solution-driven. They conduct policy research, facilitate frank and purposeful dialogue, and build capacity for governance, policy and advocacy.
