On November 27, 2018, the Arqus European University Alliance was formally created in Brussels. The Arqus European University Alliance is founded by nine elite universities in Europe to expand the possibilities for interdisciplinary collaboration. They are Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius and Wroclaw. Arqus students are a member of a network of more than 300,000 students from all over Europe, representing many countries. By encouraging combined PhD and post-doctoral activity as well as access to research infrastructures shared by the nine universities, the Alliance also aids early career researchers.

Eligibility of Arqus Talent Scholarship

• The student should be international and applying for a Ph.D. program in a partner university in Europe
• The student should admit to the doctoral program with a minimum B grade in the previous master’s record.
• The student must have sufficient language proficiency equivalent to a B2 in any of the language Alliance.
