The Bayer Fellowship Program is for students and apprentices in scientific and medical disciplines. The goal is to support the next generation of outstanding researchers and teachers. Further, to work together on “Sciences for a Better Life”. The Bayer foundations support leading scientists, talented young researchers, and innovative educational. Also, social projects with the aim of improving the long-term entrepreneurial framework conditions for an innovation-based company like Bayer.
The Fellowship Program consists of a total of five scholarship programs offering individual financial support. The most important prerequisite for funding: It must be an innovative and international project. Students and young professionals with up to two years of professional experience from Germany. Additionally, who is going abroad for a study project or practical work experience. Further, scholarship holders from abroad who are studying, researching or doing an internship in Germany can apply.
Since 2007, the company has been pooling its foundation activities under the umbrella of the Bayer Science and Education Foundation, Cares Foundation. Since 2015, the concentration of the Group on its core competencies in the life science areas has also been accompanied by a sharper focus on the foundations. Today, their work focuses on pioneering science and medicine.
