Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Studies Scholarships are granted to support individuals who wish to study the Dharma. Further, KF accepts applications from teachers, students, practitioners, scholars, and translators, from all traditions, schools, and sects of Buddhism. However, Khyentse Foundation awards scholarships for one-year terms only. Scholarship recipients may apply each year for continuing support to fund longer-term studies.
KF Scholarships generally range from US$500 to $3,000, and occasionally more, depending on the project. The scholarships are available to cover the tuition fee of the successful students.
KF accepts applications from students or practitioners from all Buddhist traditions. Applications are reviewed by an
an international selection committee appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.
Moreover, the amount of each scholarship award depends on the scope of the proposal. Full funding of proposals is not always possible. Hence, the foundation opts for partial funding in these cases. KF is able to offer scholarships because of the great generosity of our donors.
However, keep this in mind and request only what you need for your dharma activity.
To apply for the scholarship, at first, the student must be working for a degree in Buddhist Studies at one of the institutions of Khyentse Foundation. Moreover, they should meet the eligibility criteria set by the foundation for the scholarship reception.
Here is a guide on how an applicant should make an application for Buddhist Studies Scholarships:
