The purpose of this Doctoral Psychology Internship at Johns Hopkins University is to train practitioners who are interested in developing competence and confidence for work as psychologists in a comprehensive university counseling center or other outpatients mental health setting. The training experience includes the supervised practice of intake evaluations, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, crisis intervention (including daytime and after-hours on-call services), consultation and outreach to the university community, and peer supervision with fellow interns.
