EAC Two-Year Funded Master’s Scholarships 2026

The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) has announced the EAC Scholarship Programme – Cohort 4, offering up to 120 funded Master’s scholarships for eligible citizens of East African Community (EAC) Partner States.

The programme supports two-year Master’s degrees in fields such as Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Informatics and Business Science at selected universities across East Africa.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be citizens of an EAC Partner State, be under 35 years old, and hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Upper Division, Distinction or equivalent.

Applicants must also apply for an eligible Master’s programme at a participating university outside their country of citizenship.

Women, persons with disabilities and applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

Applicants need to complete both university admission and the separate EAC scholarship application.

First, select an eligible Master’s programme and apply to the participating university. Then complete the EAC Scholarship application and submit the required supporting documents according to IUCEA’s instructions.
