The University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân (CF) offers three (3) scholarships to motivated students from outside the EU/EEA who apply for the undergraduate program in Global Responsibility & Leadership (GRL) or postgraduate program in Sustainable Entrepreneurship (SE). Further, the candidates should demonstrate that they are committed to contributing to CF’s vision and mission. The CF scholarships for undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs are valid for one year of Entrepreneurship and Leadership studies. The scholarships aim towards supporting living expenses during the first year of their studies (EUR 4 000). Students will be selected on the basis of academic performance, motivation letter, financial needs, and relevance of CF’s programmes for their future career.

Eligibility:
- Non-EU/EEA residents who have applied to the BSc Global Responsibility & Leadership or the MSc Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
- For Undergraduate program, applicants must have to have successfully obtained a secondary school diploma which allows entry to an academic university. Further, the students should take an English Proficiency test where they must meet the minimum pre-defined criteria. Also, Students are must have a passing grade in VWO Wiskunde A, B or C or an international equivalent.
- An undergraduate programme, from a research university in, business administration, econometrics, and operational research, economy and business administration, international business, human geography, and urban and regional planning, spatial planning and design, mechanical engineering, international relations and organization, University College Global Responsibility and Leadership or comparable degree’s.
- A minimum GPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent
- A motivation letter
- Curriculum Vitae
- English language proficiency
- Two letters of recommendation from persons that can support your application (such as university teachers, supervisors of individual research projects).
- Copy of passport
Application procedure
Interested candidates will need to send their scholarship application parallel to the BSc Global Responsibility & Leadership or MSc Sustainable Entrepreneurship application. Different committees will review the programme application and the scholarship application. Candidates submit a successful application by completing the following steps:
- Submit a complete application for the BSc in Global Responsibility & Leadership or the MSc Sustainable Entrepreneurship before 1 May 2019.
- Parallel, work on your scholarship application and submit it before 1 May 2019. Candidates should send the applications to the CF scholarship team via email. Moreover, the applicants should title their email as: “CF Scholarship 2019 – application”. Further, the email should contain the following information:
- Personal information in the email body (name, date of birth, gender & nationality).
- Further, Academic records (transcripts including GPA or equivalent accumulated).
- Similarly, Motivation statement/essay of max 500 words explaining the reason for choosing GRL or SE programmes, the relevance of the degree for your future career and why you are the ideal candidate for this scholarship, including reasons for financial need.
- Also, CV, including any relevant extra-curricular activities.
Deadline:
All candidates applying for the scholarships for the undergraduate program in Global Responsibility and Leadership or postgraduate program in Sustainable Entrepreneurship must hold a place of offer in the university in the Netherlands.
