Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) at the University of Utah calls application for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position.

The CVRTI is a leading research institute with an interdisciplinary team of 13 independent laboratories studying channel and muscle biology, metabolism, heart failure, and electrophysiology. Employees hired into this category will be required to be physically located at the CVRTI Facility if they are healthy and without COVID-19 symptoms.

Position Responsibilities

Candidates on this postdoctoral fellowship at Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) at the University of Utah will perform a range of duties and responsibilities. Research specific responsibilities vary on the laboratory of interest and range from basic biochemistry of intracardiac proteins to metabolic assays to evaluation of novel heart therapies for heart failure. Common responsibilities include the conduct of responsible bench research, manuscript preparation, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

Qualifications

• A doctoral qualification or MD.
• Evidence of independent research potential as indicated by first author publication(s) in impactful journals, and a career orientation towards NIH sponsored laboratory research.
