Applications are being received for the PGSM Masters scholarships in France. The scholarship is offered by universities in the FSMP (Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris) network for one-year or two-year master’s studies. Please note that this scholarship program cannot be combined with other types of funding (with the exception of joint programs with French Embassies or French institutes abroad).

Selected candidates for this scholarship to study in Europe will be able to join Masters in mathematical sciences or fundamental computer science from universities in the FSMP network. They will then benefit from a range of teaching that is unique in the world based on all resources of Parisian research laboratories in mathematical sciences.

Paris Mathematical Sciences Foundation network has more than 1200 researchers including 5 Fields medalists, 19 academics, more than 200 national and international prize winners. Most of them teach in the master’s programs of the FSMP network, in the best tradition of the internationally recognized French school of mathematics.

Benefits of PGSM Master Scholarships

Selected candidates for this scholarship to study in Paris will have the following benefits:

1. A monthly allowance of 1100 €/month(600 / month + a flat-rate supplement of 500 € for housing assistance only on presentation of proof)
2. Social coverage under the student regime and their university enrollment rights
3. Booked room at the CROUS in Paris by the Foundation (For students of foreign nationality)
4. Reimbursement of the price of a return flight ticket (For students of foreign nationality) per year from their country of origin to Paris
5. Administrative and scientific support.

Laureates for M1 studies will receive a 12-month scholarship. The extension of the scholarship for a second year is subject to the successful completion of the first-year exams and the jury’s approval. Laureates for M2 studies will receive a scholarship for 10 months.

Eligibility for PGSM Master Scholarships in France

This scholarship program to study in France is open to students who have:

• finished their studies in universities outside France(license or 1st year of a master’s degree in mathematics and basic computing).
• validated the 3rd year of bachelor’s degree or a 1st year of master’s degree in mathematics. Or, fundamental computer science within the network of the FSMP.
