Applications for the AFRINIC Fellowship 2019 is now open. AFRINIC is offering fellowships for the AFRINIC-31 meeting to be in Luanda, Angola, on 2-6 December 2019. Moreover, during the same year, the first AFRINIC observers were to the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC). In 2001, the steering committee recommended the appointment of an initial Board of Trustees based on sub-regional representation. Similarly, Dr. Nii Quaynor chaired the first Board with the mission to formalize the organization and also, work towards its accreditation as a Regional Internet Registry (RIR).
Further, The fellowship is for individuals representing small organizations, universities, and media who are actively in Internet operations and development or ICT policies in their countries. Also, the fellow is to positively and actively contribute to IP address management awareness in the AFRINIC service region.
