On behalf of the University, the Cambridge Trust is offering the fully funded Cambridge International Scholarship for international students undertaking PhD studies at the Cambridge University. The aim of the Cambridge International Scholarships is to ensure that the 250 highest ranked students, irrespective of nationality, receive full financial support to undertake research leading to a PhD. The Scholarships pay the University Composition Fee and a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single person.
If a student receives a full-cost scholarship from any source (excluding Gates Cambridge), the offer of an award from the Trust will lapse and you will be offered the status of ‘Honorary Trust Scholar’. This entitles you to attend the Trust’s events but bears no monetary value.
The candidates successful to receive the fully funded Cambridge International Scholarship will receive an exemption from paying the tuition costs (up to £34,107 per year). Further, they will receive a generous maintenance allowance by UK standards.
International students are eligible for the Cambridge International Scholarship if they meet the following requirements:
In order to apply for the Cambridge International Scholarship, the candidates must apply for the desired postgraduate program. In the option for funding their program, the candidates must mention that they are applying for the Cambridge International Scholarship.
The course that the candidate is applying for, determines the deadline for the fully funded Cambridge International Scholarship 2020. For international students, the deadline is either 3 December 2019 or 7 January 2020.
