Indiana University Prude University Indianapolis IUPUI invites application from international students to apply for fully funded scholarships. Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a public, urban research institution that combines the strengths of Indiana University (IU) and Purdue University. IUPUI provides the best of two universities, where one can choose among more than 140 IU degree programs as well as more than 80 Purdue degree programs. Moreover, you may graduate with a respected IU or Purdue degree.
IUPUI provides a number of scholarships schemes ranging from partially funded to fully funded while targeting international students. Further, IUPUI provides scholarships on several bases including merit basis, competitive basis, and athletic basis. Among the merit scholarship, IUPUI provides these fully funded scholarships to international students in recognization of their excellence.
Outstanding Scholar Award
Amount
$15,000 per year for up to four years.
You may be eligible if you:
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Have one of the following minimum test scores:
- SAT
- (Native English Speakers): 1310 on the Evidence-Based Reading as well as Writing and Math sections
- (Non-Native English Speakers): 660 on Math section or 1310 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections
- ACT: composite score of 28
Dean’s Recognization Scholarship
Amount
$11,000 per year for up to four years.
You may be eligible if you:
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Have one of the following minimum test scores:
- SAT:
- (Native English Speakers): 1240 on the Evidence-Based Reading as well as Writing and Math sections
- (Non-Native English Speakers): 610 on Math section or 1240 on the Evidence-Based Reading as well as Writing and Math sections
- ACT: composite score of 26
International Ambassador Award
Amount
$7,000 per year for up to four years.
You may be eligible if you:
- Have a minimum high school/secondary school cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Submit one of the following minimum scores: TOEFL iBT score of 80, or IELTS score of 6.5, or O-Level and equivalents A-B in English Language, PIE Level 7, or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 560, or ACT (English) score of 21, or proof you are a native English speaker.
How To Apply
The Fully funded Merit Scholarships at IUPUI are renewable for international students.
- Applicants wishing to apply for the scholarship must hold a place of an offer in the university.
- Likewise, you must submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for most of these scholarships. If you take the tests multiple times, submit all of your scores. We use your best scores when we determine your scholarships.
- Further, all scholarships require you to be enrolled full time in the fall and spring semesters. For scholarship renewal criteria please refer to the Office of Student Scholarships.
- However, Scholarship funds cannot be used for intensive study of English as a Second Language.
IUPUI will automatically consider a freshman for this scholarship. Nor do you need to submit a separate application. However, you must apply for a place in an undergraduate program at the university before the deadline.

All applications must be submitted by November 15 for maximum consideration for the scholarship.
