  • The scholarship is available to international students who wish to enroll in a degree program at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
  • Applicants should possess a good working knowledge of English, as the program is conducted in English.
  • Moreover, each department conducts a thorough review of the applicant’s past grades or research performance.
  • Individuals applying for bachelor’s degree programs must possess a high school diploma.
  • Candidates seeking admission to master’s degree programs should have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree.
  • Likewise, those applying for doctoral degree programs are required to have obtained a master’s degree.
  • Awardees of outstanding new student scholarships must achieve a certain average grade (3.0 for undergraduate students and 3.7 for graduate students, scored by grade point) in the first semester to maintain eligibility for the NCTU scholarship or tuition scholarship in the second semester.
  • Similarly, applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in studying or conducting research in Taiwan.
  • Applicants must not have previously received scholarships or grants from the Taiwan government to be eligible for the National Chiao Tung University Scholarship.
