Edith Cowan University is inviting applications from competent candidates to apply for fully funded research scholarship 2019.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) is an Australian public university located in Perth, Western Australia. The university offers more than 300 courses across two metropolitan campuses, in Mount Lawley and Joondalup, and a regional campus in the South West, Bunbury, 200 km south of Perth. Also, the university offers many courses online study. There are 12 broad study areas at ECU for undergraduate courses, making it easier for students to find disciplines and major subjects. The 12 areas of study include biology and environmental sciences, business, communications and arts, computing and security, engineering and technology, exercise and health sciences, law and justice, medical and paramedical sciences, nursing and midwifery, psychology and social science, teacher education and Western Australian Academy of performing arts.

Moreover, the fully funded ECU scholarship is designed to support postgraduate students of outstanding research promise undertaking a higher degree by research at ECU. The scholars will receive this scholarship on the basis of academic merit and research performance. The scholarship includes a stipend of $28,420 per annum. However, the duration of the scholarship will vary depending on the duration of the course, up to two years for a Master by research and up to 3 years for a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Integrated Ph.D. Besides, Edith Cowan University offers a range of scholarships to all of its incoming students. The scholarships at the university depend upon a number of factors, for instance, academic merit, faculty, region.

Benefits

The beneficiary of the fully funded ECU Research Scholarship will receive:

  • An annual stipend of $28,420 payable fortnightly via electronic funds transfer
  • Additionally, tuition fee sponsorship
  • Likewise, a subsidy as a relocation allowance.
  • Also, it will cover Overseas Students Health insurance

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible applicants must have met the minimum requirement below:

  • This scholarship is open to individuals who are prospective and current ECU students.
  • In order to apply for this scholarship, you must have a course application.
  • Also, the University should offer you a place in ECU higher degree by research course*

*If you have submitted an application for course entry and have not yet been issued an offer, or you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor Honours Degree, a Master’s Degree or Integrated Ph.D. you can apply for this scholarship and your application will be assessed conditional on achieving the minimum requirements.

However, you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship if any of the below apply if you have:

  • Completed an Australian Research Doctorate Degree or equivalent.
  • Completed a Master by Research or equivalent when you are seeking a research scholarship to undertake a Master by Research.
  • Been in receipt of an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) or an Australia Award scholarship within the last two years.
