Griffith University offers Fully Funded International Postgraduate Research Scholarships to international students who wish to commence studies by Higher Degree Research. These scholarships are available during the University’s annual Ph.D. and research degree scholarship application round.

Benefits

The scholarship covers tuition fees for the applicant for up to three years for doctoral candidates and up to two years for research masters candidates. In addition, the scholarship covers the Overseas Student Health Cover (OHSC). The scholarship is for two years for a research master’s program and up to three years for a doctoral program. However, a six-month extension is possible for doctoral candidates in certain reasonable circumstances.

Eligibility

Fully Funded Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are available to all international students. Students must be commencing in any research program for which RTO support is available. However, any students who are the recipient of an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth Government designed to offset research program tuition fees are not eligible for this program.

Application process

Candidates need to follow the process for submitting an online application for a higher degree by research program. And the candidate also needs to fill a section for scholarship application while applying for this. Applicants need to apply online for the scholarship.

There is a different applying procedure for the existing research candidates or applicants with a current offer. In order to apply for the scholarship, they submit the following documents via email, to the Griffith Graduate Research School at  [email protected]

• an offered not yet commenced student scholarship application form
• a covering letter as well as an updated research outline and completion plan
• copies of publications/evidence of research output (achieved since original application)
• a recent CV
