In 2018, RMIT Vietnam will sponsor four scholarships. Two of the scholarships will be offered to female applicants only, while the other two will be offered to the best applicants, regardless of gender. Applicants who are successful in receiving a scholarship are sponsored 50% of tuition fees for the maximum duration of their candidature.

Scholarship duration

The standard duration of a research doctorate scholarship is three years full-time. Candidates may apply for an extension of up to six months subject to satisfactory progress and approval of PhD Program Committee Panel.

Eligibility

To be considered for scholarship, candidates must have:

• A Master Degree by Research with Distinction
• English language certificate of an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
• A strong PhD research proposal

Other scholarships

Apart from that, RMIT Vietnam is now having several international projects on environmental and urban green studying, water and natural resources management. While involving in these EU-funded projects, candidates shall be awarded full scholarship for undertaking PhD program. Applicants who are successful in receiving this scholarship are sponsored 100% of tuition fees for the maximum duration of three years without extension.

Eligibility

To be considered for project-based scholarship, candidates must have:

• A Master Degree by Research with Distinction
• English language certificate of an IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
• Degree and/or experience in the areas of environmental science, environmental management, environmental engineering, urban planning, urban design, urban green, water and natural resource management,  etc.
