Apply for the Fully Funded Scholarships at the University of Copenhagen. The deadline for the application is 1st September 2020. The name of the scholarship is Fully-Funded PhD international awards in Biological Sciences at University of Copenhagen.

The Department of Biology, Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen is offering up to two fully funded PhD scholarships within the Biological Sciences commencing 1 December 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Roles

The position is available for a 3-year period. The key tasks are:

  • To define, manage and carry through your research project
  • Also, attend PhD courses equivalent to 30 ECTS
  • Furthermore, write scientific articles and your PhD thesis
  • Teach and disseminate your research
  • Similarly, to stay at an external research institution for a few months, preferably abroad

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a MSc degree in biology, molecular biomedicine, biochemistry, bioinformatics or a closely related field with excellent results. Additionally, as criteria for the assessment of your qualifications, the University will lay emphasis previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.

Also, the University is seeking ambitious individuals with good interpersonal and communication skills. They should have fluency in spoken and written English.

Benefits

  • The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
  • Also, terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
  • Additionally, the starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 325.625 (approx. €43,400) including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 44,980). Candidates may negotiate for salary supplement.
