Fully Funded Scholarships for PhD are available at Trinity Business School of Trinity College Dublin at the University of Dublin, Ireland. Trinity Business School invites applications for two funded PhD scholarships in the area of Operations/Supply Chain Management supervised by Professor Sinéad Roden ([email protected]) and Professor Yufei Huang ([email protected]).

The positions involve working on research projects in the area of operations management and supply chain management with the aim to publish in top academic journals. The PhD candidates will be required to take part in the structured PhD programme at Trinity Business School and engage in teaching duties up to a maximum of 6 hours per week as part of the PhD training. Trinity Business School provides comprehensive support for PhD students to conduct research, including close supervision, a dynamic research seminar series, internal and external PhD courses and training.

About the Doctoral Programme

Trinity Business School’s doctoral programme focuses on educating and training outstanding postgraduate students for careers in professional business research and for academic employment in international business schools. It has achieved Eduniversal’s top level 5 Palmes of Excellence. The programme attracts students with diverse backgrounds from around the world, including some who have completed a Master’s degree in business or management, those who have gained practical experience at a managerial level following their undergraduate degrees, and those who work as researchers and lecturers in a university setting.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarships comprise the full tuition fee per year, and a stipend of €17,000 per annum for up to 3 years.

The start date is September 2019.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants should have excellent English language skills, a minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent is essential
  • A minimum of a 2.1 undergraduate degree or equivalent and a Master’s qualification with merit or equivalent in the relevant subjects are essential
  • Experience in the area of operations and supply chain management would be advantageous, but not essential. Applicants need to have interests and experience in behavioral operations management, supply chain risk management or empirical operations management. Applicants with an interest in experimental methodologies are encouraged.
  • Applicants should be motivated to become a professional management scholar.
