Founded in 1919, American University Cairo (AUC) is a leading English-language, American-accredited institution of higher education and center of intellectual, social and cultural life of the Arab world. Moreover, its community of students, parents, faculty and staff, trustees, alumni and other generous sponsors represent more than 60 countries. In addition, the University stands as a crossroads for the world’s cultures and a vibrant forum for reasoned argument, spirited debate and understanding across the diversity of languages, facilities as well as human experiences.

Furthermore, the Suez Cement Company Endowed Fellowship are competitive awards offered to outstanding graduate students who are eligible for financial support as well as wish to pursue full-time study for a Master of Science in the School of Sciences and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  1. In support of their professional training, fellows are assigned 10 hours per week of research work.
  2. Also, By accepting this externally funded fellowship, the fellowship recipient agrees to respond to any reporting requests received from AUC by the deadlines communicated to the awarded fellow. This may include a request for photos or academic progress information to be used for reporting purposes, or attendance of fellowship events including any meetings or events with donors as requested by the relevant university entities

Eligibility

  • Open to Egyptian nationals
  • Also, Full admission to a graduate program in engineering
  • Priority will be given to applicants to the environmental and construction engineering graduate programs
  • Also,  Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent
