The School of Law, Birkbeck houses a large and expanding community. Founded in 1992, the School has grown from 3 members of academic staff to a body of over 30. Also, student intake of more than 1000 across two departments – Law and Criminology. The School of Law also houses the Institute for Criminal Policy Research (ICPR) which conducts academically-grounded. Additionally, policy-oriented research on all aspects of the criminal justice system. Eligibility

• Awards may be made for full-time or part-time study and to Home, EU students or International students.
• Further, candidates will be expected to fulfill similar academic criteria to those demanded by external funding bodies.
• They will normally possess at least an upper second class honors degree or equivalent and not normally have previously completed a Postgraduate Taught Programme.
• The competition is open to new students only.
