The School of Law, Birkbeck houses a large and expanding community. Founded in 1992, the School has grown from 3 members of academic staff to a body of over 30. Also, student intake of more than 1000 across two departments – Law and Criminology. The School of Law also houses the Institute for Criminal Policy Research (ICPR) which conducts academically-grounded. Additionally, policy-oriented research on all aspects of the criminal justice system. Birkbeck offers a unique combination of evening study and a matchless central London location, right in the geographic and academic center of the city, giving you exceptional opportunities. At Birkbeck, you can build your own university experience, with as little or as much support as you need. Benefit

  • The awards will cover the cost of fees only at the home/EU rate. Where an award is to an international student,
  • the student will be liable for the balance of their fees for the duration of their program of study.

Eligibility

  • Awards may be made for full-time or part-time study and to Home, EU students or International students.
  • Further, candidates will be expected to fulfill similar academic criteria to those demanded by external funding bodies.
  • They will normally possess at least an upper second class honors degree or equivalent and not normally have previously completed a Postgraduate Taught Programme.
  • The competition is open to new students only.
