Applications are open for the funded scholarship at King’s College London called Sorabji Graduate bursary. This studentship honors Richard Sorabji, Emeritus Professor of Ancient Philosophy in the Department. Each year the Department awards one or more studentships to graduate students in the Department, taking into account academic merit and financial need.

Scholarship Value

The total amount available is currently £2,000 each year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for these awards, students must be enrolled in a postgraduate programme of study in the Department during the current academic year and have an offer of a place on the MPhilStud or MPhil/PhD programme in the Philosophy department at King’s College London for the following year.

• Applicants from all nationalities are eligible to apply for King’s College London – Sorabji Graduate Bursary in UK, 2019.
• To be considered for the bursary, applicants must have a good academic record.
• Candidates must be enrolled in the Department of Philosophy in a postgraduate program.

Documents Required

• A Detailed copy of their Curriculum Vitae.
• Cover letter addressed to ‘The Department of Philosophy funding panel’ which must include the applicant’s academic status and plans for the forthcoming academic year.
• Provide any other information to support their application.
• Candidates must provide information regarding other sources of funding.
