International Youth Exchange Programs in Portugals || Fully Funded

The project is coordinated by Europejskie Forum Młodzieży (PL) and will take place in Portugal, near Lisbon. Volunteering in Rato – ADCC is based in the partnership with different institutions that create a network with Rato – ADCC and has the purpose to promote locally the tools and methods of IT for social and cultural work and promote the European opportunities for the youth community of Seixal. Activities: •Support of different training activities (workshops aiming to provide ICT skills, workshops to provide knowledge in areas such as Intercultural Learning , Youth Participation, Entrepreneurship); •Support of activities regarding global citizenship and education in local schools; •Creation and promotion of tools and activities that promote opportunities for education; training, employment, mobility, non-formal education and entrepreneurship; •Promotion of volunteering, youth initiatives and programs •Support of management of different projects and activities in Rato–ADCC.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteer will live in a flat (student conditions) shared with other flat mates. The flat is furnished with a fridge, washing machine, and basic kitchen utensils. There is common kitchen and bathroom. The volunteer will live in a shared flat equipped with all necessary facilities that let prepare meals. The volunteer is obliged to keep the flat in good condition, do the household chores in rooms and in shared spaces, maintain the equipment in good condition and use it in the proper way. The apartment is located 10 minutes by foot from the Rato – ADCC office.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The volunteer will participate in a pre-departure training and, upon arrival, an orientational training. The pre-departure training will be organized by the supporting oraniazation and the orientational training by the hosting organization.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

For this project the candidate should be a motivated young person (between 18-30 years old), who would like to discover/develop new skills, visit new places, know different cultures, and is open for a new experience. Voluntary service is a big proof of what and how a person can contribute to a better society so we expect that the candidate will be willing, respectful and open for this big challenge.
