The International Women’s Media Foundation or IWMF invites Fund applications from women journalists all over the world.
Promoting the work and advancing the role of women in the news media across the globe is critical to transparency and a diversity of voices. The Howard G. Buffett Fund for Women Journalists, the first funding initiative of its kind, enables the IWMF to dramatically expand its support of women journalists. Established with a $4 million gift from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Fund will support projects including educational opportunities, investigative reporting, and media development initiatives.

Eligible applicants can apply for the IWMF Funding by filling up an online form. Moreover, the applicants will require to fill up their personal information as well as provide their portfolio as proof. Also, the applicants will need to provide their statement of interest, two-pitch stories, and their publication plan. IWMF also recommends the applicants provide the letter of support from their editor.
IWMF will accept the online applications for Women Journalists Funds until September 5th, 2019 11:59 pm EST.
