Are you a young township entrepreneur with a drive to succeed and willing to learn how to improve your personal and business financial well-being? If so, then join the L+EARN #BIZ Programme 2025. Invest a few hours a week to learn about financial well-being for yourself and your business to build a profitable and fundable business.

This programme is designed to help young entrepreneurs improve their financial literacy and build financial skills that’ll enable them to grow and improve their personal and business financial well-being. Participants get useful and impactful financial knowledge and skills that enable them to make effective and informed financial decisions in starting, running, and growing their businesses.

The programme themes are:

  • Your entrepreneurial mindset
  • Setting and achieving your personal & business financial goal’s
  • Using accessible planning tools
  • Costing, pricing, record-keeping and compliance
  • Understanding your customer value
  • Improving your marketing skills
  • Selling your business value to financiers and clients

Eligibility

The programme is ideal for young, up and coming entrepreneurs with township-based or rural businesses that have been operating for more than a year. They are motivated entrepreneurs who want to make a difference.

To apply you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Black South African (African, Coloured, Indian)
  • Youth of 18 to 34 years old
  • Passed at least Matric
  • Full-time business owners from a township
  • Running a business for at least 12-months
  • Business annual revenue below R1 million
  • Personal income less than R29 334 per month
