Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellowship 2026 in Singapore | Fully Funded
Applications are now open for the fully funded Wang Gungwu Visiting Fellowship 2026 in Singapore, hosted by the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute. This prestigious international fellowship honors Professor Wang Gungwu, former Chairman of ISEAS’ Board of Trustees, and aims to nurture the next generation of scholars and policy makers focused on Southeast Asia’s evolving geopolitical landscape. Open to post-doctoral researchers and mid-career policy professionals worldwide, the fellowship supports policy-relevant research in key areas such as US-China relations and their regional impact, Asia Pacific security dynamics, China’s rise and its influence on Southeast Asian societies, digital technology use by states, and the future of regional economic cooperation. Fellows will spend 2 to 6 months in Singapore, receiving a fixed monthly stipend inclusive of a housing subsidy, round-trip economy airfare, and full access to ISEAS facilities, including the library, office space, and IT support. Additionally, fellows will have the opportunity to engage with Professor Wang Gungwu and expand their professional network. Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship is open to international students from all over the world.
The program is open for post-doctoral researchers and mid-career policy makers.
Mid-career policy makers who don’t hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with an appropriate level of professional experience and research interest are also eligible to apply.
Should have an interest in priority research areas.
