The Post Baccalaureate Fellowship program is a research and career development opportunity for graduating seniors in Barnard College. The Fellowship is a one-year program (with the possibility of renewal) that allows for the development of professional career skills, on-going technical and workplace learning, and an opportunity to apply subject matter expertise to new technologies using digital humanities methods and platforms. All fellows engage together as part of a cohort in on-going professional development and learning from Beyond Barnard in collaboration with the Office of Human Resources. Reporting to a faculty director, fellowships are full time paid appointments with health benefits. The fellowship will extend from September 1st to August 31st and include paid holiday and vacation days. Fellows will be paid a stipend of $45,000 per annum.
The incumbent at this Post Bacculerte Fellowship at Barnard College will be reporting to the Faculty Director of the Digital Humanities Center, the DHC Post Baccalaureate Fellow will work with and assist the Director and the Digital Scholarship Librarian in providing instructional and research support to faculty and students. They will bring a strong interest in research and teaching in the humanities and provide assistance in designing and delivering workshops, developing training materials on digital humanities techniques and associated methodologies, and managing the DHC’s web presence including social media and digital publications. In addition to that, the candidate will also work with other campus units to collaborate on programming and projects (e.g. the Barnard Center for Research on Women, the Center for Engaged Pedagogy, etc.) and will assist faculty and students across the curriculum in building the digital humanities at Barnard.
