This Postdoctoral Appointee at Indiana University will work alongside faculty and staff in the Indiana University Gene Therapy Testing Laboratory. The laboratory focuses on novel testing methods for gene and cell therapy products. It hosts the NIH NHLBI National Gene Vector Biorepository (www.NGVBCC.org) providing testing and other services to the NIH community. It also provides certification services to academic and commercial entities manufacturing clinical gene therapy vectors. The applicant should have the ability to work independently as well as in collaborative research projects. Duties and responsibilities are to develop novel testing methods suitable for meeting US FDA regulations. Techniques include a combination of cell based assays and molecular testing methods such as ddPCR. The applicant will gain experience in developing novel assays in a regulated environment that will be of interest to both academic and commercial entities.
