One post-doctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xia (Shelley) Lei in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. The Lei laboratory utilizes cell culture and mouse models to study a secreted protein family (CTRPs) in physiological and pathological conditions, such as insulin resistance, obesity, and diabetes.
The successful candidate will work on protein functional studies and related signaling pathways in the glucose and lipid metabolism. The candidate will contribute to experimental design, method development, implementation, data analysis as well as prepare manuscripts for publications. The candidate will also be provided the mentorship and professional development opportunities tailored to their career goals.
