Postdoctoral Fellowship in III-nitride optoelectronics is available at SUNY (The State University of New York) Polytechnic Institute.
The Research Foundation for The State University of New York (SUNY) is the largest, most comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. The Research Foundation manages SUNY’s research portfolio, providing essential sponsored programs administration and innovation support services to SUNY faculty, students and staff performing research in areas including life sciences and medicine; engineering and nanotechnology; physical sciences and energy; social sciences; arts and humanities; and computer and information sciences.
The Postdoctoral Fellowship at SUNY Polytechnic Institute is suitable for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to perform collaborative research on electronic and optoelectronic devices based on UWBG III-Nitride semiconductors for application in electronics and optoelectronics. Specifically, the projects involve the design and fabrication of novel concepts in heteroepitaxy, impurity doping, selective area growth by MOCVD, fabrication and processing of single device elements and material and device measurements.
The successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated, strong team-player, and be current with the literature in the field of III-Nitrides. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting experiments, for interpreting data, publishing results and student co-mentorship.
