The University of Tennessee Health Science Center calls application for Postdoctoral Fellowship Physiology, Vascular Smooth Muscle and Endothelial Cell Ion Channels. The fellow will work in Dr. Jonathan H. Jaggar lab, Department of Physiology.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will study physiological functions and pathological alterations in arterial smooth muscle and endothelial cell ion channels and will be involved in projects include studying the regulation of trafficking, signaling and functions of ion channels, similar to studies we have recently published (Bulley et al. eLife 2018, Hasan et al. PNAS, 2019, MacKay et al. eLife 2020). Techniques in the laboratory include RT-PCR, Western blotting, biotinylation, immunofluorescence, FRET, patch-clamp electrophysiology, calcium imaging, pressurized artery myography, blood pressure telemetry and conditional knockout mouse models.
