The Department of Communication at Villanova University seeks applicants for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellowship in Communication, Race & Technology, to begin fall 2021. This is a one-year fellowship renewable for up to three years.
This new initiative in the Department is designed to foster the professional development of recent PhDs on their journey to faculty positions. Successful candidates will gain formal teaching experience, as well as support and mentorship from the Communication faculty. The department is particularly interested in expanding studies at the juncture of communication, technology and race which may include intersections with gender, sexuality, ability, transnationalism, and/or other components of identity
The candidate on Postdoctoral Fellowship in Communication, Race & Technology at Villanova University will teach core undergraduate courses such as communication theory and/or research methods, in addition to elective courses (existing or new) that complement their area(s) of research specialization.
The position involves a 3-3 teaching load and limited service responsibilities that benefit the candidate’s professional development.
