The University of Utah Division of Epidemiology calls an application for Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Utah, United States. This postdoctoral fellowship provides training in epidemiology, health services research, and mixed methods research.
The postdoctoral fellow will work with researchers at the IDEAS Center of Innovation—a Veterans Affairs (VA)-funded health services research center—conducting research activities in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), the largest integrated health system in the nation caring for over 9 million living Veterans. These researchers specialize in the use of national electronic health record data for epidemiology, outcomes research, mixed methods research, and the evaluation of policy implementation.
The postdoctoral fellow will also participate in the extraction, cleaning, and statistical analysis of data to address critical research questions to improve the care of patients. Within this scope, the postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to pursue areas of individual interest.
This postdoctoral researcher position at the University of Utah requires expertise in epidemiological methods, statistical modeling, and some programming. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a PhD degree, good writing, communication, and time management skills, and an ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment.
