Postdoctoral Scholar at the College of the Marine Science University of South Florida. The University of South Florida is accepting applications for a full-time Post-doctoral appointment. This project is funded by the Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies, an NOAA Center of Excellence.
The candidate will work with the Gulf of Mexico Atlantis ecosystem model to update and recalibrate the model with particular attention to capturing shrimp dynamics, improving documentation, facilitating a peer review, supporting NOAA training, and working with NOAA-SEFSC scientists to explore long-term shifts in shrimp production.
Basically, the position will be located at the College of Marine Science (CMS) in St. Petersburg, FL. Close cooperation with NOAA-SERO and NOAA-SEFSC will be required. Working remotely within the USA initially or for the entire duration of the project may be possible. The position will begin no earlier than Sept 2021. The appointment will be for two years subject to renewed CIMAS funding. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in CMS seminars and activities, attend weekly lab meetings, and interact with graduate students.
