The Royal Society in association with the Wolfson Foundation invites candidates for Royal Society Wolfson Fellowships for the year 2020. The fellowship provides long-term flexible funding for senior career researchers associated with a UK university or research institution in fields identified as a strategic priority for the host department or organization.
The maximum award of this fellowship is up to £250,000. Moreover, the fundings cover the following expenses
The fellowship is open to candidates of all areas of the life and physical sciences, engineering, but except clinical medicine. In addition to that, candidates must either currently hold a permanent post (funded by the host institution and can include partial funding of salary from an external grant) or have received a firm offer to take effect from the start of the appointment for this position. Furthermore, research must be within the Royal Society’s remit of natural sciences, which includes but is not limited to biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics.
There is no bar of nationalities for Royal Society Wolfson Fellowships 2020 as anyone can apply. However, the Royal Society encourages applications from under-represented groups.
