Eligibility for Scholarships at Free University of Berlin 2020

• Masters Scholarships At the Free University Of Berlin is open to Israeli and Palestinian nationals.
• Applicants who already had an emphasis on Islamic, Arabic, Judaic or Semitic Studies or Studies in Eastern Christianity are welcome to apply.
• Candidates who majored in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or an equivalent discipline are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants who wish to continue their studies with a focus on the intellectual heritage of the Islamicate world in Medieval times are welcome to apply for the scholarship.

Documents Required

• Submit their BA diploma including other previous transcripts with an official translation if it was issued in any language other than English.
• Additionally, a hand-signed motivation letter and CV.
• Additionally, the applicants must submit a passport photo.
• Also, two recommendation letters with an official stamp and must be of a recent date.
• Likewise, non-English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency.
• Furthermore, the evidence of language proficiency in Arabic (B 2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Value of Scholarship

• The successful applicants of the scholarship will receive:
  • Israel nationals: EUR 600 per month.
  • Palestine nationals: EUR 800 per month.
