Marion Bruley Scholarship is available for application for international students at Sciences Po. Sciences Po is an international research university, both selective and open onto the world. It ranks among the finest institutions in the fields of humanities and social sciences. Sciences Po stands out for combining approaches and confronting different world-views. This tradition of diversity and multidisciplinary approach makes Sciences Po an active participant in public debate, a forum where thought meets action. Besides, Sciences Po also provides a number of Scholarships for international students including Stephen M Kellen Scholarship, Marion Bruley Scholarship and many more.
Sciences Po provides Marion Bruley Scholarship in her honor. She was a graduate of Sciences Po who passed away suddenly on November 9, 2011. An economic attaché at the French embassy in Bangkok, she was in charge of business environment intelligence and focused on market access for French companies. David and Marion’s families have decided to create the Marion Bruley Grant in January 2012 to help advance Marion’s passion for international relations, public service, and adventure.
The Marion Bruley Scholarship carries a monetary value of $1,000/month of internship up to 6 months for Sciences Po Students. The grant does not cover all expenses. However, it will help to partially cover the cost of living. Also, it will facilitate weekend traveling around the United States, as Marion herself loved to do.
The Marion Bruley Grant is awarded by the US Sciences Po Foundation to a student currently enrolled at Sciences Po. Further, the eligible candidates will get an opportunity for an internship in the United States with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at either the French embassy or consulates, or another international institution such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, or the World Bank.
The candidate will be chosen from students who have submitted a student mobility application through Sciences Po’s bursaries and financial aid office. Moreover, the bursaries and financial aid office will provide the US Sciences Po Foundation with a list of eligible students. Also, the Foundation and a member of Marion’s family will select the recipient based on academic merit and financial need criteria.
Interested students must complete an international mobility grant application for outside of Europe. Further, they should include a CV in English and the Marion Bruley application form. Students will also need to include a signed internship agreement.
Candidates who wish to apply for Scholarship must submit their application before the allocated deadline of 15th May 2019. The scholarship committee will announce the result on May 30, 2019.
