The University of Greenwich Department of International Business & Economics calls application for Teaching Fellowship in Micro-Economics. The Teaching Fellow will teach on the January start programs for the Faculty to provide service teaching in introductory economics offering opportunities to teach a wide range of undergraduate students from Business, the basics in micro and macroeconomics. This position is suitable for candidates that enjoy working with diverse cohorts of students drawn from across the Business Faculty and challenging them to fulfill their potential through developing inspiring course materials and learning activities within a blended learning environment and providing excellent student care.

Purpose

The incumbent will conduct high-quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the areas of Business Economics. The role will focus on delivering high-quality education in a variety of formats. Duties include to

  • Contribute to the delivery of existing teaching.
  • Contribute significantly to the delivery of teaching activities, reflecting the successful candidate’s own subject specialism appropriate for the needs of a diverse student body; across the range of courses offered by the department/school.
  • Support development of new demonstraing excellent design.
  • Engage in professional practice across the subject area and contribute to the profile of the Department/School and Faculty.
  • Support the delivery of the student experience.

Minimum Qualifications

For this Teaching Fellowship at the University of Greenwich, candidates must have the following qualifications

  • Masters in a related field or recognized equivalent academic or professional qualification.
  • Hold a PGCert HE or recognized equivalent or be a Fellow of the HEA; or commit, as a condition of appointment, to obtain HEA Fellowship within twelve months of commencing the role, with the support of the university.
