UNA-USA Fellowship 2025 for Young Americans (Stipend available)

A first-of-its-kind scholarship, the UNA-USA Fellowship provides financial support for American undergraduates who have received their bachelor’s degree within one year of graduation, and first year master’s students who have secured unpaid internships with the United Nations. If selected, you can be awarded up to $13,000 for up to four months.

Current and previous Fellows have served UN internships in a wide range of UN agencies and offices, some of which include the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Information Center (UNIC), the Department of Global Communications (DGC), the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, the United Nations Department for Safety and Security (UNDSS), United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Stipend of UNA-USA Fellowship

  • Once accepted as a fellow, you’ll receive a stipend to cover up to four months of living expenses during the internship. And yes; that means any living expense – from utilities and rent to food and transportation. All stipends are yours to spend at your own discretion.
